Part 1 – Rental House Purchase
Sometimes people will ask us do you buy any kind of house even a house that needs a lot of work? Right behind me is an example of a house that needs tons of work!
This home has been vacant for 40 years, the inside is completely gutted the roof is falling in and a family of raccoons actually live in the house! So yes, we do buy houses that need a lot of work and we’re willing to take on the work.
BEFORE
This is a rental house, (it’s actually a cottage) that we’re currently getting ready to rehab. We got this cottage through a probate process and these people needed some inheritance money. We were able to buy it, so we really do buy houses in any kind of condition!
Part 2 – Rental House Rehab
I’m gonna take you on a little tour and show you what we’re doing and where we have progressed. Let’s take a little peek!
There’s the concrete pad that we put in and the step going into the house. There’s the front door and there’s the side of the house, it’s pretty beat-up that’s all going to be re-stuccoed and painted, so it’ll look better when we’re done.
DURING
When we bought this house it had no roof! The inside you can see we’re working on it, it’s all been drywalled. Here is the bathroom, where the vanity, toilet and a little shower will be installed. There’s no kitchen there now, only a bunch of drywall, but that’s where the kitchens gonna be.
This will be a two two room apartment and now we’ve got a little efficiency apartment.
