The same house in Boulder would run a cool 1million Dollars! Nationwide the most expensive city is Newport Beach California. A 4 bedroom 2 bath house would run at an average price of $2.3 million dollars.
Dirk Draper, president and CEO of the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance pointed out that, “Colorado Springs is an affordable place to live for employers and their employees. That is the one key factor in our favorable cost of living here.”
This coupled with recent reports of higher rents, with low vacancy rates, would indicate owning a home is a much better option than renting.
